Got conductive thread in your finger tips? GENIUS! And so much better than using sausages, SOUTH KOREA. xD

Whilst spending the morning doing inspiration and cross referencing research for various and nefarious work purposes, I stumbled upon this list of
gorgeous covet-worthy vintage dresses at Adorevintage.com.
And then I saw this fish print dress.
Oh. MAN. Why so awesome, dress? How dare you not exist in my wardrobe!
Just goes to show that novelty doesn’t always have to be ~novelty~.
Whilst finding myself, once again, trapped on Craftzine in an rabid devouring of crochet patterns, I stumbled upon shots of this SUPER adorable hand made doily dress from a California mountain elopement, featured on 100 Layer Cake.
The bride apparently ripped apart a vintage dress to use as a base for the under-dress pattern, then crocheted all the doilies for the dress in a three week block (is she the fastest crochet-er of all time?!), and they finished the dress the morning-of and sewed her into it! O_O;; Her SUPER cute shoes were dyed to the colour she wanted and the embellishments? Vintage earrings used as shoe clips. ADORABLE!
And my Mum wouldn’t let me use any doilies I’ve inherited for clothing! So digging out all the ones I’ve bought from Op Shops and clothinating them like I planned.
I’m too tired and ‘coded out’ today to post a pic of this seriously epical “All Saints Urien Aditya Dress,” but take my word for it. DO. WANT.
Or at least an interestingly put together home-made facsimile thereof.
Om nom nom nom nom. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a wrap dress. And one with so many details and that can be converted to having a hood? Honestly WHERE has it been all my life!? xD
I recall seeing this dress a year or so ago and screaming that I NEEDED it. And then I promptly forgot ALL about it. Then perusing a ‘show us your dream dress’ thread at offbeatbride.com, I stumbled across it again. O_O;;
I’d commented to Q last night that I wasn’t such a peacock fan. But CLEARLY I WAS WRONG, because DO WANT THIS DRESS! But in different colours… MUHAHAHA! Teal/turqoise and red, anyone? :D DELICIOUS!
Really do need to make that paper-tape dress form I’ve been talking about making with a bunch of my friends for about, what, three years? Guys? GAWDS!
We’re out Vogue Patterns hunting! And I’m sorry, but I find this dress completely RIDICULOUS and I am totally drafting myself a similar pattern for the dress on the right. V8359
Misses’/Misses’ Petite Coat Dress? YOU AR DUMB! I LOVE YOU! xD xD

ARM.A.GAD. I WANT these shoes as my wedding shoes! Gawds, they’re sold out at Rue21, HOW DARE YOU BE SOLD OUT! xD
Unimpressed Nett is unimpressed. xD Except for where I’m totally impressed BY the shoes themselves. Oh well, back to drooling over tall but flat/platformed boots..! xD
No, I’m serious, what IS up with all of it!? xD Largely my favourites at Whirlingturban are all variations on the same theme, but what delicious variations they are! I mean come on the red and blue-teal details on this skirt and playsuit style!? Yes, you heard me PLAY. SUIT! xD xD LAWLS THE LITTLE SHORTS :D DELICIOUS!! SO WANT!
Other seriously serious wants include the Emerald & Peacock Sharkskin (do want to just potter about in O_O), Jumbo Polka Dot Wing Bust Dress, Emerald & Peacock Wing Bust Dress (OOOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!!). Plus, I’m a big fan of three of their off-the-rack bridal options: Woven by Hand, Ivory Kissed with Gold, & Posies on Cream with Palest Pink Lining. Scrumptious!
Y posted saying she’d bought an outfit recently from Pin Up Girl Clothing which spurred me to fling myself back at the site with glee! :D Last time I was there, this super delicious Ava Dress in Jade Green was coming soon and not yet available. MY GOD is it still ever delicious! Dresses that make you want to have red hair for a thousand. Well, for $96USD, but who’s counting? xD
As curvy as that model is, however, I HIGHLY doubt I’d be able to actually wear that dress, my hips, thighs and seriously bustle-butt would overflow it I fear. xD
FORTUNATELY, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, I lust after so many other outfits at PinUp Girl that my sadness at bodyshape incompatibility fades into obscurity pretty DAMN fast.
Some faves? “Patrice” 60’s Pleated Dress (It’s even on sale!), Rose Print Evelyn Dress (the print of which I think I would actually find hideous but here it works so awesome!), Heidi Black Cherry Dress MAN I’ve wanted that for aaaaaages! *covets* And finally This Vintage Inspired Sailor Swing Dress. Come ON How many flavours of awesome could one dress be? xD
