Y posted saying she’d bought an outfit recently from Pin Up Girl Clothing which spurred me to fling myself back at the site with glee! :D Last time I was there, this super delicious Ava Dress in Jade Green was coming soon and not yet available. MY GOD is it still ever delicious! Dresses that make you want to have red hair for a thousand. Well, for $96USD, but who’s counting? xD
As curvy as that model is, however, I HIGHLY doubt I’d be able to actually wear that dress, my hips, thighs and seriously bustle-butt would overflow it I fear. xD
FORTUNATELY, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, I lust after so many other outfits at PinUp Girl that my sadness at bodyshape incompatibility fades into obscurity pretty DAMN fast.
Some faves? “Patrice” 60’s Pleated Dress (It’s even on sale!), Rose Print Evelyn Dress (the print of which I think I would actually find hideous but here it works so awesome!), Heidi Black Cherry Dress MAN I’ve wanted that for aaaaaages! *covets* And finally This Vintage Inspired Sailor Swing Dress. Come ON How many flavours of awesome could one dress be? xD

I’m not sure Greg’s actually ever SEEN Gigi before, and I was totally delighted that it came on TV. The comments he’s been making are HILARIOUS, he had no idea why I was SO EXCITED at the beginning when the old guy started to sing. Ahahahaa, as Steffi says, Honoré Lachaille is the most debonair of all the pedobears. xD
And then, this:
Greg: So, is this move Pride & Prejudice?
Me: No, cause Pride & Prejudice doesn’t have whores in it.
Greg: Sure it did,
Me: Well, Okay, so if you ignored the fact that Elizabeth has sisters…
Greg: Yes, if you’re assuming Elizabeth is independent from everything else.
Me: OKAY! Well if its JUST Lizzie & Darcy, and you pretend that they’re in France and there’s whores everywhere: Yes. This is Pride & Prejudice.
We’re so old, every story is always delineated as another… ^_^;;

Just checking mail this morning, and though my eye was instantly drawn to this lovely One Skein project book – I’m ALWAYS trying to make my projects be super fast so you can get that almost instant feeling of accomplishment xD – my eye was really HIJACKED by: HURT – Men In Knits: Sweaters to Knit that He WILL Wear – Interweave.
Hurt is right. What the hell he WILL wear? Because you’ve brainwashed him? Why would you even WANT him to wear a jumper eleventy billion sizes to large for him. O_O;; Greg could probably put that on and then I’d be unable to locate him for weeks.
DO WANT MY MAN TO LOOK SUPER HOT KTHX! RATHER NOT LOSE HIM UNDER A PILE OF YARN O_O;;;

How hot are these Ros Hommerson Black Women’s Spin Wide Calf Boots?! I know I know, they’ve got a heel so I probably can’t wear them with my pita of a back, BUT STIL!L They’re not TOO high and they’d look totally hot next year for Ali & Damien (aka Alien! :D <333)’s wedding under our awesomely voluminous dresses. I could make matching boned fabric spats to go on them too! OMG THE PRETTIES! *joyface*
I do totally need more boot variety in my wardrobe, the awesome pair that Deasilvae gave me for Christmas are holding their own against a shoe-torturing Nett, but I’d like to not torture them so much and be able to mix it up a bit.
Plus, Greg LOVES him some boot on the ladies ;) :D

APPARENTLY, Greg is too much of a sweet as hell modern guy to buy me chauvinistic overtone gifts and so asked me to post yet another wishlist of goods. OMG SO HARD! *laughs* WHAT DO I WANT THAT’S NOT YARN, FABRIC OR KITCHENGOODS?! xD
The answer? Well OBVIOUSLY its clothes *laughs* I am so lacking in new/wearable dresses and tights that haven’t been rendered crotchless from being worn more than once in their lives >_<;;
Then I remembered I had the Vivien of Holloway website open since January, so I could randomly click back to those tabs and fawn over the mountains of skirt and deliciously constructed boned bodices…
Not just in red, but turquoise too! And of course I’m dying to have a trucktonne of hugely huge petticoats (RED! WHITE! PIIIINK!!) to go with them and to go under other clothes I already have/plan to make. MmMMmmmmm..! Petticoats aren’t hard to make but they’re SO TIME CONSUMING! *laughs*
Unfortunately these aren’t exactly what Greg was asking for, I do believe he wanted me to list things that you could buy locally in a shop. DARN IT! *laughs more* But still, nothing can stop me from fawning over these a little longer. ^_^

I’m pretty sure that Essie warned me that this set was going to be released soon, and warning is so totally the correct word here. The fabrics and patterns in Heather Ross’s Far Far Away II set conjure up SO MANY awesome project ideas I am full to bursting.
I somehow think, however, that Greg wont let me purchase a mess of smiley moons and wistful cats to make new quilt covers/pillow cases for our shared bed however… ^_^;; xD Though I DO really need to find some awesome fabric combinations that we both like (YES! My man does actually have an opinion on fabric *outs him*) to make us more. Our totally mismatched bedding is starting to urk me, even though the reason we went that way was because of lack of funds and that together it became ‘OURS.’ <3
Confession time? I used to HATE the Owl & the Pussycat when I was a kid. Used to drive me batty that the cat didn’t just eat the owl. DID IT HAVE NO SENSE OF PRESERVATION!? But now it just fills me with such a feeling of whimsical nostalgia that I adore any reference to it when I stumble upon it.
Old age hypocrisy, apparently I cherish it.

This afternoon I jump online and Jenji, bless her hearts, (yes. HEARTS! xD) didn’t even say hello, just linked me this photospam of Four Story Townhouse at DigsDigs with the word: Pretty.
I’m going to have to say OMG YES! O_O; <33333 You could take photos of stuff ANYWHERE and the light would be so nice for it. *has clearly warped priorities* I also ADORE all the wood accents and the little loft and the bathroom door of ye olde winne. I love looking at interiors that have been decorated with a strong mix of vintage/antique and fresh-from-the-flat-pack.

Just stumbled across the synopsis of this novel, Bitter Seeds, by Ian Tregillis and I’ve got to say? Interest is piqued! It sounds exactly the kind of anachronistic ludicrous that I enjoy:
Raybould Marsh is a British secret agent in the early days of the Second World War, haunted by something strange he saw on a mission during the Spanish Civil War: a German woman with wires going into her head who looked at him as if she knew him. When the Nazis start running missions with people who have unnatural abilities a woman who can turn invisible, a man who can walk through walls, and the woman Marsh saw in Spain who can use her knowledge of the future to twist the present Marsh is the man who has to face them. He rallies the secret warlocks of Britain to hold the impending invasion at bay. But magic always exacts a price. Eventually, the sacrifice necessary to defeat the enemy will be as terrible as outright loss would be.
WILL be going on ma amazon.com wishlist that’s for sure.
One thing I’m completely confused about? The rather substantial uselessness of the actual bitter seeds website. O_O Its some stuff thrown together in Photoshop with some links to where they buy the book. Not even any blurbs or useful searchable information. O_O;; WHY DOES IT EXIST?! Not the correct kind of ludicrous, unfortunately…

EEE! Ma friend Essie has created another gorgeous x-stich pattern for her etsy store. This time based on her adoration of pretty tea cups.
Though I have ZERO patience for cross-stich on this kind of scale myself (I can’t ever get the backs to look as neat as I’d like! xD Yes, that’s right, I don’t do it because I don’t like the part you CAN’T SEE xD) I’d SO LOVE this whole set in reality. EEEE! The really fat stripey teacup is totally my favourite. So paunchy! xD

Someone just put dinner on the stove...
Its gone on a little late (about an hour now and its 5pm!) but that’s okay as we’re up till after 6am every night because of the World Cup at the moment anyway. But honest to goodness! There’s just something SO exciting about a pot full of wine, stock & stock vegies (GO GO YOU NOMMY GARLIC SHOOTS! EE!), and a great piece of meat, all sitting cozily in a pot ready to be slow cooked… <333
Though, time to break out and dust off those bemused eyerolls: it DOES mean your partner attempts to ~BEDAZZZLE~ with terrifying entendre about meat and two veg…

1. Pot Roast Lamb, 2. pot roast ingredients, 3. pot roast 046, 4. Drunken Pot Roast
