Vintage Nettles

OKAY SO THIS LIST HAS LESS SUPER GORGEOUS THINGS ON IT THAT I WAS EXPECTING! It also has less quirky stuff on it than I was expecting. Apparently most of what I want is achingly practical. WHAT’S THAT ABOUT!? xD But still, the IDEA of a lot of these things has me salivating – especially as whenever I try and make anything on the Damn Daring Bakers Challenges, they always require me to use something that I don’t own so I dodgy up other things in their stead. xD I’d like to be less dodgy – or as a friend put it, ~~INNOVATIVE~~ – especially when it comes to using a stand mixer with all the delicious attachments.

The faithful and long serving electric hand beaters we have are on their last legs… Recently using it its motor started to kinda.. Burn… ^_^;;

So yes, I’ve been lusting after a Kitchenaid Artisan mixer for a VERY long time now, but their price tag is kind of UNAFFORDABLE for me at the moment. Q was talking about perhaps getting a pool together for my birthday of money to go towards one which would be so wonderfuls *tears of joy* BUT! THEN I WOULD HAVE THE PROBLEM! WHAT COLOUR TO CHOOSE?!

Though, lets face it, if the biggest problem facing your life at the moment is what colour crazily expensive kitchen good you’d like to buy, things are pretty sweet. xD

So recently-ish, while I was making… What WAS I making? Pate Sablee? Anyway, I realised that I don’t own a rolling pin. The wine bottle from the wine cupboard was an excellent substitute, I must say, but it’d be nice to have the ACTUAL article! xD

This is just a baby one, but BELIEVE IT OR NOT its actually pretty hard to find really quirky rolling pins online. And here I was thinking Id’ find a GAJILLION and end up having to make a rolling pin only post. xD

Sure, this one is REALLY boring. xD But who doesn’t love Angel Food Cake!? And my TRUE wanting this is so I can use it to make more delicious puddings. I’m PUDDING OBSESSED NOW, OKAY!!? xD And sure this is boring, but THIS ONE ISN’T:

HOW GOOD WOULD A STEAMED BANANA PUDDING LOOK IN THAT SHAPE?! ARMAGAD! *salivates*

Speaking of which: I SO WANT A PROPER HUAG STEAMER! The kind that is a a saucepan the size of.. well you xD With a removable stand in the bottom to steam pudding bowls or vietnamese style soups etc… OH MAAAN! *covets*

I’ve wanted a tajine for aaaaaaaages, and though you can cook a lot of the same kind of dishes in a slow cooker – which I have – the flavours are just not the same. NOM NOM NOM Tajine. Plus I miss eating food with my hands, I hardly ever do it these days, I don’t think I have since the last time I saw my friend Zay and we ate ‘filo food’ with Jenji and & Erik xD

I always have problems with transporting cakes, we never ever seem to have containers big enough… ^_^;;; I have the sneaking suspicion that these might also be too small.. *laughs* But considering we’ve often had to transport cakes in Ikea Expedit boxes, I think this kind of thing would be MUCH more suitable… There we go again with the ~~INNOVATION~~ >_>;; xD

And the the next two? Aren’t so much “WANT BECAUSE OMG I’VE BEEN MISSING ACCESS THEM OFTEN!” and more: “OMG WOULDN’T IT BE FUN TO OWN THESE!?” vanity wants. xD But then, ultimately, what is a ~research~ list like this for if not for a bunch of vanity items? ;)

Definitely not as useful/practical as an electronic scale, but how cool would this look in your kitchen?!

FISH POOAAACHERRRR! EEEEE!! So much cooler than my prone-to-puncture double alfoil parcels xD But wow, TOTALLY vanity want xD

PS: Someone remind me I’d also like to get my hands on some silicone re-usable baking mats (you can get them in awesome colours these days <3), some Dariol Moulds and.. DAMN! I already forget! xD
